Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões

This beautiful piece of paradise is the end product of a landscape valuation project that was aimed at providing tourists with an in loco museum among the vast natural beauty that the island has to offer.

The sound of gushing waterfalls echoes around you while you walk among the tree ferns, old mill, shops, and gorgeous scenery.

The paths are short however like in all of the Azores they show you different scenery around every corner. You can do a short round trip that leads you down the steps and back onto the stream bed. Here you will find a relaxation area with several pools, waterfalls and streams to see and enjoy. Other more adventurous activities include canoeing and hiking. Plenty of places to picnic or just sit and enjoy the views.
