Cerâmica Vieira

The Cerâmica Vieira factory, dedicated to the production of ceramic ware, has particular prominence in the world of ceramics, not only for being the first factory in the sector, founded in the 19th century, but also for continuously arousing the curiosity and interest of visitors who can follow the process of making handmade ceramic ware and tiles.

This factory produces decorative and utilitarian crockery as well as tiles, in a handmade way, with characteristic designs from the Azores and with a predominance of the blue colour that distinguishes it from other crockery.

This pottery is certified by the Artesanato dos Açores brand, which further contributes to its worldwide recognition.

This space is open Monday to Friday from 08am to 5pm and on Saturdays from 09am to 1pm. Closed on Sundays.
